Me and Wifey went back from work a bit late yesterday that by the time we arrived at AU3 it was already 6.50pm. As we entered the house, Syiqah has just taken her bath and was taking her own sweet time to put on her clothes. Annoyed, I've asked her to speed up things. I gave her a stern instruction on that but somehow Syiqah took it emotionally and started to cry loudly; which surprised me and Wifey frankly.
Not wanting 'to put salt into her open wounds', I withdrew from the situation and Wifey continued to use her investigative skills to find out why was she behaving that way. Truth is Syiqah was never seen to behave that way before and it took quite some time before Wifey managed to get things under control.
Wifey and Syiqah went out from the room with Syiqah holding a small piece of pink-coloured paper. Syiqah handed over the pink paper to Wifey and with her eyes alone asked Wifey to read it.
"Bacalah", Wifey said to me after reading the pink paper. Wifey's eyes was already watery that time.
I took the paper from Wifey and started to read quietly. There were 6 short sentences on the paper - hand written by Syiqah herself...
"dariPada Kakak"
"Kakak Sayang Ibu"
"Kakak Sayang Babah"
"Kakak Sayang Ibu Kerana Allah"
"Kakak Sayang Baba(h) Kerana Allah"
"I Love U Ibu Babah"
"Mauuuh! (Muaaah!)"
I was munching dinner at the moment I started to read Syiqah's writings. At the end of the last sentence, I just couldn't chew the food. My eyes got watery too instantaneously.
Syiqah missed us so much throughout the day that she wrote that note to us; hoping that we would come back early from work to embrace her and read her note to us.
We did not fulfil her hope. We came back late and I scolded her instead.
I am sorry dear. I am really sorry. We do love you so much!!
Note: No matter how much commitment I will put into work, what matters in the end is the happiness of the ones that I loved so much. Will my boss make my family happy? No. I will. Not him.

That is really really touching! My heart goes to your sweet child, too! Reminds me of how often a child longs only for the presence of his/her dad & mom...

Janice: Yup, she did went to school..similar to us who went to work. But when she returned, she would be happy to see her loved ones around. So, when she did not...disappointment took over.
